Endometriosis Surgery

Comprehensive Endometriosis Treatment

Endometriosis Surgeries

Endometriosis surgery is performed to remove abnormal endometrial tissue growing outside the uterus, which can cause severe pelvic pain, heavy or painful periods, and difficulty conceiving. When medications do not provide adequate relief, surgical treatment is often recommended.

The procedure is usually done using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. A thin camera (laparoscope) allows the surgeon to clearly visualize endometriotic implants, adhesions, and cysts, and remove them with high precision while preserving healthy surrounding organs such as the ovaries, uterus, bladder, and bowel.

Compared to open surgery, laparoscopic endometriosis surgery offers less pain, minimal blood loss, smaller scars, shorter hospital stay, and faster recovery.

It is commonly advised for:

  • Severe or persistent pelvic pain
  • Painful periods affecting daily life
  • Pain during intercourse
  • Infertility related to endometriosis
  • Ovarian endometriotic cysts (chocolate cysts)
  • Failure of medical treatment

Proper surgical management not only reduces pain and improves daily comfort but also enhances fertility outcomes in many women. With expert care and careful tissue preservation, patients can experience significant symptom relief and improved quality of life.
