Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

Minimally Invasive Removal of the Uterus

Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

Laparoscopic hysterectomy is a minimally invasive surgery to remove the uterus using small keyhole incisions in the abdomen. A thin camera (laparoscope) helps the surgeon clearly view and safely remove the uterus with high precision.

Compared to open surgery, this technique causes less pain, minimal blood loss, smaller scars, shorter hospital stay, and faster recovery.

It is usually recommended when other treatments do not provide relief. Common conditions include:

  • Uterine fibroids causing heavy bleeding or pressure
  • Heavy or prolonged periods
  • Adenomyosis
  • Chronic pelvic pain
  • Endometriosis
  • Selected cases of early-stage uterine conditions

The procedure allows careful protection of nearby organs and helps patients return to normal activities sooner with better comfort and cosmetic results.
